Infection Prevention

Reticulated foams are an ideal material for infection prevention components as they are impervious to microbial organisms and can be manufactured with fungicidal and bactericidal additives. As one of the largest fabricators of foams in North America, UFP Technologies has access to advanced foams and specialty materials to create infection prevention solutions.

UFP Technologies works with our customers to design and fabricate custom components for infection prevention products. We'll work with you to select the proper materials to meet your needs. Manufactured in clean room facilities and controlled environments, we have created solutions such as foam tips made from reticulated polyurethane that are used to apply anti-bacterial disinfectant solutions to surgical field and intravenous start sites to cleanse patient contact areas. Using multiple material combinations we create an array of other disposable components for systems to prevent infection.
