When we receive a project it typically follows these steps:

  • Evaluation
    We pride ourselves in being objective consultants with each new project. We can evaluate if your project is a good fit for Simco Automotive. If we feel we cannot deliver the best final product, we will suggest another direction, even if it is not with us.
  • Request for Quote (RFQ) Process
    Request for quotes are reviewed by our engineers for feasibility, cost, timing, and ability to meet specifications. Once it is determined that we can provide a viable solution, we would then move forward with a pricing estimate.
  • Pricing Estimate
    Simco Automotive will provide a comprehensive response to all RFQ's. We will quote all aspects of your project's tooling, prototype pricing, production piece price, assumptions and terms and conditions to complete your part.
  • Program Management - Advanced Planning Quality Program (APQP)
    Simco will provide a program manager upon release of your order to coordinate all activities on your project. Simco will utilize the APQP process to meet your timing gateways through a successful launch.
  • Prototype Tooling
    Simco is capable of rapid prototyping in a variety of materials depending upon your needs: wood, phenolic, aluminum, or steel. Our sales and design experts can explain each process in detail.
  • Production Tooling
    Simco will design and build tooling to your specifications that will produce a quality part for your automotive project.
  • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Run at Rate, Launch etc.
    Simco will follow the complete APQP process to meet all of your timing gateways through a successful launch.
