Sekisui Voltek Foams

Sekisui Voltek offers three main product lines: Volara®, Volextra® and Minicel®. Within each line, one can modify elements like resin selection, additives, foaming technologies, crosslinking parameters, density and thickness to achieve the performance parameters required. United Foam will work with you and Sekisui Voltek to help you solve your challenge - potentially designing a new product specifically for your application.

After determining your project's specific needs, our application engineers can determine if the best solution is one of Voltek's existing product grades, or if the unique demands of your application call for development of a new grade.

Since many solutions go beyond the selection of a correct foam, United Foam can help convert this foam into a finished product. As an Authorized Fabricating Distributor, we utilize technologies like press molding, vacuum forming, waterjet profile cutting, die cutting and the lamination of these foams to a variety of other substrates to meet your particular needs.

Volara®
Volara is a fine-celled, irradiation crosslinked foam that offers aesthetic appeal as well as an outstanding range of performance characteristics. Its smooth surface, excellent consistency, gauge control, superior physical and chemical properties, low water absorption and vapor transmission make Volara a versatile, dependable solution for a host of demanding applications.

Volextra®
Volextra is extrusion-coated Volara that combines the properties of foam and solid plastic. Extrusion coating adds a wide range of aesthetic and performance qualities to the superior properties of Volara's crosslinked, closed-cell polyolefin foam. In the Volextra manufacturing process, thickness, color, and texture are tightly controlled to adapt its properties to your specific needs. Available with a wide range of surfaces, Volextra provides a decorative advantage and allows for the design of composite materials with high-performance characteristics. Volextra is abrasion, chemical, and moisture resistant. It is highly durable and ideal for demanding applications.
