Compression Molding

Compression molding is a manufacturing process for thermoset materials in which the materials are generally preheated, softened, and placed in an open mold cavity. The material is then shaped under pressure and cooled to create 3D parts. United Foam offers a wide range of compression molding capabilities, including large platen presses, vacuum forming and clean room compression molding of closed cell and crosslinked foams.
