When we receive a project to work on it typically follows these steps:

  • Evaluation
    Project specifications are reviewed. This includes your package size restrictions, how and where it would be used, and whether it needs special materials, fit, clearances, closures, stackability, and so on. There are many criteria to consider when evaluating your packages requirements and we have the expertise to address them all.
  • Pricing Estimate
    With an understanding of quantity, dimensions, and its use, we can estimate pricing. There are a variety of gauges to consider based on how your package must perform, as well as tooling considerations. Our goal is to offer you the best value possible without sacrificing quality.
  • Design Process
    We pride ourselves on our creative design solution capabilities. You will have the opportunity to work directly with our Design Engineers in developing your package. We design in 3-D using SolidWorks® to create detailed drawings. We want you to fully understand your package design, all of its features, and how it works.
  • Prototype Tooling
    Prototype tooling proves out the design. The tooling is CNC machined in-house directly from the 3-D solid models. The Design Engineers work closely with the machining and forming experts to create quality samples. If clarity is important for your package presentation, we can machine the prototype from high performance composites to optimize the finish. We have the ability to “tweak” the tooling if changes are needed and will continue to improve the samples to earn your complete satisfaction.
  • Production Tooling
    Production tooling is manufactured with the latest materials available to produce the highest quality parts. Our in-house design and CNC capable toolshop allows us to maintain strict control over the process ensuring tight tolerance and finishes. United Thermoforming will maintain and guarantee your tooling for years and over a million parts.
  • Production
    With our ISO 9000-2000 Quality Assurance System, you can be assured that the finished parts are inspected and protected throughout the production run. Our friendly customer service representatives will make sure that your product is shipped to your specification.
