Converting of Materials for Medical Applications – UFP Technologies to Present at Medical Grade Polymers 2015

September 9, 2015 – Georgetown, Massachusetts – UFP Technologies’ VP of Engineering and Estimating, David Duff, will be delivering a presentation on the converting of materials for medical applications at the Medical Grade Polymers conference in Woburn, MA on September 16th.

Medical Grade Polymers is an international conference focusing on plastic and elastomeric materials for medical devices, implants and instruments. The conference brings together professionals and experts within the medical device manufacturing industry to discuss the latest developments in markets, technical and regulatory issues, and review quality production technology.

Mr. Duff’s presentation, “Polymeric Foam and Film Converting of Materials for Medical Applications,” will address the technical hurdles associated with the design, development, and fabrication of medical device components and packaging. Mr. Duff will discuss several case studies illustrating some of the particular challenges encountered with medical grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) as well as various foam-based medical applications.
