Military Foams - Open-Cell Polyurethane
UFP Technologies is one of the largest fabricators of foams in North America. We have access to an array of MIL-SPEC open-cell foams such as polyurethane and reticulated polyurethane foams are commonly used for component and packaging solutions in the defense industry.
Polyurethane foams offer excellent cushioning properties for lightweight, delicate objects. It is, in most cases, the most cost-effective material for creating custom packaging solutions. We have access to, and experience working with, anti-static polyurethane foams that are used to protect sensitive electronic equipment against electrostatic discharge.
Reticulated polyurethane foam is a versatile material typically used for applications such as filtration, sound absorption and fluid management. We utilize these foams when creating solutions such as microphone windscreens in helmets and communications equipment.
