UFP Technologies to Exhibit at Medical Device Packaging Conference 2014

April 18, 2014 - Georgetown, Massachusetts - UFP Technologies, a producer of custom-engineered components, products, and specialty packaging, will be exhibiting at Medical Device Packaging Conference from April 28 ^th -29 ^th in Arlington, Virginia. The Medical Device Packaging Conference brings together industry leaders responsible for device packaging logistics, quality, and regulatory compliance.

UFP Technologies will display a variety of medical device packaging solutions at the conference including the FlexShield ® medical device pouch. FlexShield is a universal protection system for medical screws, rods, plates and other instruments. It provides puncture and abrasion resistance in order to safely ship instruments without damage to external packaging. Medical instruments can be easily loaded into FlexShield, and will facilitate an aseptic presentation during surgery. UFP Technologies manufactures and packages FlexShield within its ISO Class 8 (Class 100,000) clean room facilities.

UFP Technologies will also showcase its custom clean room packaging solutions, which they provide for many of the world's top medical device manufacturers. UFP Technologies works as an extension of their customers’ R&D and engineering teams to develop and design innovative medical device packaging systems for surgical instruments, electronic devices, endoscopes and orthopedic implants and screws.
